Auxillary Switch

We added a power switch in line to turn on/off the sound system. Using black silicon caulking we glued the switch into our dash. We can always remove it with a knife at a later date if needed. Notice the handle bar set back plates.

Chrome Parts

We had the valve covers, the foot-peg side skirts, and the rear drive link chromed. We had www.powdercoatingunlimited.com handle the chome plating. They did a great job at a reasonable price.

Valve Cover Treatments

Here is how the left side looks with the chrome valve cover installed. The oil cap frame just pushed out from the inside. Care must be taken to keep from breaking the plastic frame. Lube it up before pushing it back in. We purchased new chrome valve cover bolts to match the chrome covers at A & S BMW Motorcycles along with several other parts used in this project.

Left Foot Peg Treatment

Here we have the chrome skirting and have the lowered left side foot pegs with the shifter in the lowest position.
|
Right Foot Peg Treatments

Notice the chrome skirting and lowered foot peg with an oversized brake pedal. The BMW tech wanted to know what was with all of the colors. We used John Deere green on the carbon Canaster, John Deere yellow on the oil plugs and Rustoleum Red on may of the Allen head bolts, because...we could.

Highway pegs

We took the highway peg frames and moved them to the bottom of the cylinders. Then a lower suport frame was welded for a three point attachment. We also added a fog light support frame in the front for a fourth point of attachment. With rubber foot pegs added this component will protect the valve covers from scapes during a nornal tip-over.

Running Lights

We found a foglight kit from Walmart for under $20.00. We are going to mount them in front of each cylinder. Care will be taken to run the wires along the cylinder head to the back avoiding the hot exhaust pipes.
|
Running Light Relay

We had to add a fog light relay we purchased from Autozone . It also turns on when the ignition is on. The power side comes directly from the battery with an inline fuse.
